The children have been very busy with their learning this term. Here is a snippit to what they have been up to.......
English:  grammar - nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, homophones, antonyms, synonyms, punctuation, full-stops, commas, exclamation marks, question marks, prepositions , Recount writing, learning about inventions, trips to the County Library every 3 weeks,
Irish: Irish verbs and Mé Féin, M'áit chónaithe agus mo theach
Maths: Data, Long Multiplication with decimals, 2 D shapes, Fractions in Maths, 
Geography: learning the counties, mountains, bays, rivers and lakes of Ireland, Co Cavan and Peru!
 Science: science workshop in the town hall
Music classes weekly with Music Generation, Bag piping with Ivor
the credit union Art competition 'My community and Me'  the theme this year,
Drama: improvisations and they have done one on inventions,
In art and history we studied the WW2, The voyage to the New World, history of Co. Cavan
Weekly progress assessments, peer assessments, self-assessments,
Harvest service participation in Derryheen church
PE: Basketball coaching and athletics with Donal , we have the use of Terry Coyle pitch for our PE classes weather permitting!!
